Collin Starkweather, SENIOR Affiliate
Dr. Collin Starkweather has been an economics and technology consultant for over 15 years and has worked with many of the industry's foremost experts in financial and competition economics.
Dr. Starkweather has experience in a wide variety of areas, including securities regulation and compliance, securities fraud, securities valuation, insider trading, antitrust regulation and enforcement, and merger and acquisition issues as well as damages valuation, patent and other intellectual property disputes, corporate governance, and class certification. His work has spanned industries ranging from technology to telecommunications, to banking, insurance, and health care.
Dr. Starkweather has worked on prominent litigation with claims in the billions of dollars, including litigation related to the Enron and Lehman Brothers bankruptcies and the bailout of AIG, as well as merger reviews and antitrust litigation related to some of the largest telecommunications and multinational technology firms in the world.
Previously, he worked with the Chicago Partners economics consulting group through their acquisition first by Navigant Consulting (as Navigant Economics) and then by Charles River Associates. He has also worked at Lexecon (now Compass Lexecon).
In addition to his work as an economics consultant, Dr. Starkweather has been a software architect and engineer and managed technology development at three successful high-tech startup companies.
He received his PhD and Master's degrees in economics from the University of Colorado, where his research focused on numerical optimization, computable general equilibrium modeling, and network effects. He also received a BA in mathematics from the University of Colorado.
